I've been doing a bit of research about my intended route through Jammu and Kashmir, which was going to be the toughest but most stunning part of the journey. It turns out that the Rhotang La pass (elev 13,050') is not clear of snow until June. So at the moment the tail end of the trip is looking a bit hazy.
